Blender rendering best practices – cloudrender.farm

If you have prepared and uploaded your Blender project for rendering you are ready to submit your job. To do so, please navigate to the Render tab on the Dashboard page and follow the steps below. If you would like some more detail the Render tab fields please view our Submitting a job article.

Please see this article on how to pack your .blend scene file and if your project has a single file please upload in the folder titled ‘UploadSingleFileProjectsHere’

Please note the packing process can rename your scene file with special characters that must be removed before uploading!

For most cost efficient results please always try and use the latest version of Blender supported!

Steps to submit a Blender job for rendering

  1. Enter a job name
  2. Select the project folder containing your blend file
  3. Select your scene file
  4. Select your version of Blender
  5. Click the Use GPU toggle to use a GPU or leave blank to use CPU rendering
  6. Enter your frame range to render or leave blank to use what is default in the scene file
  7. Optionally, set the Output Folder as the name of an output folder you created at the root of your project folder
  8. Set Output File Name Prefix Override to any prefix you would like in the name of your outputted frame. For example, “output” can be entered here to give the output file name a prefix of “output”
